Must-stroll for most visitors to Vancouver. One of Vancouver’s oldest commercial streets, it was once known as Robsonstrasse for the sheer number of German and European stores that opened up after the Second World War. The international character of the street still exists. Only 2 months after Vancouver’s incorporation in 1886, railway workers lost control of a clearing fire. Within an hour, its flames consumed nearly every building in the new town.

Located in Vancouver, the Lions Gate Bridge National Historic Site of Canada is the longest suspension bridge in Western Canada with a total length (including approach spans) of 1517 metres. The Lions Gate is a three-lane bridge, which means that traffic is sometimes two lanes one way and one way the other, and vice versa depending on traffic flow needs. It sounds confusing, but it’s not too bad.
